Chemical Dependency Undergraduate Program

The Bachelors of Science in Chemical Dependency and Chemical Dependency certificate programs provide academic and experiential training for future professionals. Students are prepared to apply for the Minnesota Licensed Addictions and Drug Counselor licensure and work in the treatment of addictions. These programs also lead students toward graduate degrees in a variety of counseling or professional psychology programs.

Jobs in this field

Graduating students can become licensed chemical dependency counselors. This licensure can lead to career opportunities in chemical dependency treatment/educational centers found in:

  • Public and private hospitals
  • Community mental health centers
  • Post-Secondary schools
  • For profit and nonprofit treatment centers
