Students from all majors are welcome to apply for this program. Most couresework is focused on East Asian studies; however, students may take courses in other subjects as well. No prior language skills are required for this exchange program. Students are required to take beginning and intermediate Korean language courses. All classes are taught in English by foreign professors.

Exchange students will stay in university owned and operated residence halls.

The student must have completed at least one year of continuous study at SCSU and must be a sophomore with a 2.5 GPA. The program is limited to two students per term. An interview will be required for placement.

Participating students will pay SCSU tuition, but all other applicable fees, including special course fees, international orientation fee, key deposits, books, and housing costs will be paid to the host university. Food, transportation (including air fare), and other travel is the responsibility of the student.

A pre-departure orientation meeting for the program will be conducted the semester preceding the program.
