Department of Economics

About our programs

Economics today is the application of hard sciences to practical social and economic problems. As an applied science, economics is known as the most rigorous of all social sciences, using models, field and experimental data, and statistical tools, to address and investigate a wide variety of issues including but not limited to money and banking, economic growth and culture, development, international trade, industrial organization, labor and immigration, health care and social security, environmental protection, organizational behavior, leadership, corporate culture, business strategies, diversity management, and more!

We educate our students for careers as leaders and analysts at corporations, government agencies and universities.
