SWE Student Award

Two female students of the Electrical Engineering Department received National Awards from the Society of Women Engineers

On June 29, 2000, at the Society of Women Engineers 50th Annual Conference in Washington DC, Bridget Bethke and Julie Rosenberg each received Certificates of Achievement at the Student Awards Banquet.  The awards were presented by Sherita Ceasar, National President, and Felicita Saiez, Vice President of Education.  Bridget, a senior, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Treasurer for the SWE chapter at SCSU.  Julie, a junior, is majoring in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Optics and is the Vice-President of the SWE chapter at SCSU.  Each has been awarded scholarships for the 2000/2001 school year.  Bridget's is from Dell Computers and Julie's is from Texaco.
