Thank you for expressing your interest in the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) program at St. Cloud State University. Our program has significant advantages that prospective students should consider:

  • If you are an international student , you may be qualified to receive a special grant enabling you to pay in-state tuition during your study at SCSU, which is approximately $3,500 per year
  • Our professors are active in research areas of analog and digital communications, wireless communications, digital signal processing, electro-magnetic heads, VHDL/FPGA and microprocessor applications, bio-medical imaging/instrumentation, control systems, and solid state electronics.
  • Our graduates have been very successful in a wide variety of engineering positions in many well known companies. We have always received favorable feedback from employers and they are enthusiastic about the quality of education at SCSU.
  • Our program emphasizes hands-on experience. Our electrical engineering laboratories are extensively supplied with modern instructional and research equipment. All of our laboratories are open to our ECE students from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., including weekends. Labs are integrated with all course work so that students receive practical, as well as theoretical experience. This is different from most universities.
  • SCSU is located about 75 miles from Minneapolis and St. Paul, which are high-tech industrial cities.
