About Us
The program of Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering were initiated in 1983 and Fall 2001, respectively. The program of Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering was initiated in Fall 2001.
The programs are housed on the first and second floors of the Engineering and Computing Center. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has eleven faculty members and three staff members who support the ECE major. Additional engineering science faculty are found in the departments of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Astronomy, and Engineering Science.
There are eight labs equipped with state-of- the-art devices, which are open to all ECE students daily from 8am until 5pm (major students until 1am). There are approximately 85 admitted majors in Electrical Engineering (juniors and seniors). The Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the nationally recognized engineering accreditation agency.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is located on the second floor of the Engineering and Computing Center (ECC) in room 211.
