Job Description:

The internship is a scholarship program. Students whose status is a beginning sophomore or higher are encouraged to apply.  If accepted, students will receive a scholarship in their name to their university for satisfactory attendance and participation in the program at the completion of the term.

The company has an interest in candidates who have a strong knowledge and desire to increase their knowledge of the following:  help desk activities, installations, update, and maintenance of personal computer systems and peripherals, Microsoft applications,  wired and wireless networking, information access control, Lotus Notes and Oracle databases, and many other areas.

Additional Information

This scholarship program will provide a student access to work in an office and a plant setting to gain information systems knowledge and insight within the printing industry. 

The following description includes activities and duties for students: 

Student will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to further understand the activities related to a career in information systems.

Student will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to interact and participate in the daily activities and functions of managing and maintaining information systems.

Student will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to install, update, or provide maintenance activities on personal computer systems.

Student will gain a better understanding of how information systems function in a real-world business setting.

Student will have the opportunity to apply their computer skills using Windows based applications to create reports, letters, and charts.

Student will gain experience documenting IS processes.

Student will develop and enhance their communications and customer service skills through various communication mediums with internal and external customers.
