Educational Objectives revised version is approved:Obj 1: Our graduates will have the ability to acquire and apply technical knowledge to analyze and solve practical electrical and computer engineering problems. (Program outcomes a), b), c), d), e), and j))
Obj 2: Our graduates will be able to demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills as they practice the engineering profession. (Program outcomes f) and g))
Obj 3: Our graduates will be able to practice the engineering profession in an ethically responsible manner in a global environment. (Program outcomes h) and i))
On-going assessment
- Alumni survey (Xidong): send out to Alumni who graduated in Academic year 2004-2005
- Pre-req exam and Course Improvement report (Kay): collecting them
- Textbook collection (Mark)
- Using test or final project scores from each class to fill in the rubric – modify the rubric and will present it to faculty in the next department meeting.
- Senior design
- Project assessment rubric (outcomes a), b), c), d), e) and g)) - modify the rubric and will present it to faculty in the department meeting.
- Report assessment rubric (outcome f))
- Presentation assessment rubric (outcome f)) – in use in senior design class
- Ethics homework assessment rubric (outcome h) and i)) – need to be developed and use for grading (document purpose)
