NORTHERN PLAINS WINTER STORM CONFERENCE
The Fourth Annual Northern Plains Winter Storm Conference will be held beginning at noon on Monday, November 9 and continue through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 10, 2009 at the Holiday Inn and Suites in St Cloud, Minnesota. The conference is sponsored by the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences of St. Cloud State University and the SCSU student chapter of the National Weather Association. The conference topics will focus on aspects of winter weather in the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies, including synoptic features, mesoscale structures, wind effects, cold season microphysics, and radar. A lunch banquet is also planned.
