Student Conduct
IMPACT
Let me guess…you didn’t choose to come to this website….
We understand that, but now that you’re here, we want to help you navigate the process as painlessly as possible.
First, depending on your requirements you will need to take a personalized online survey.
Alcohol -- If you are here for an alcohol-related incident (Impact I, II, or III) you will need to take a confidential online survey called e-chug.
Marijuana -- If you are here for a marijuana-related incident (Impact M) you will need to take a confidential online survey called e-toke.
Second, it is extremely important that you print your “Input Summary” and bring it with you to Student Health Services – Health Promotions Office where you will schedule your Impact class. In order to schedule, you will need to bring payment and your referral form in addition to your “Input Summary.”
Third, you may want to know more about Impact before you arrive for your class. Impact is an interactive presentation that helps students make more- informed choices about alcohol. It is based on the foundation that students want to achieve success academically, personally, and professionally. Impact also recognizes that many college students choose to drink alcohol and that some never experience negative consequences from their drinking while others do. The Impact presenters will help students understand how certain high risk behaviors can lead to negative outcomes. The presenters encourage feedback, questions, and discussion so come prepared to participate. The discussion helps the facilitators tailor the time to the group’s unique needs and characteristics. We have developed Impact using national standards for intervention with college students.
Finally, please know that the class discussions as well as your e-chug or e-toke results are completely confidential and will not be available to the administrator who referred you to Impact.
