Forming a new Organization- Online instructions

Instructions for Completing the Registration Process Online- Updated Spring 2008
CSOLD Student Organization Registration

Student organization registration is now completed online. Every student organization is required to build their new web space .The process for beginning to use your new web space is as follows:

1. President- once you have received your organizations password and username via email, use the instruction sheet provided to enter in the basic information about your organization.

2. Register your organization online - log in to your organization's space and follow the steps under 'Registration' to register your group for the current year.

3. Learn more about the additional features of the new system. You can browse on your own, or email CSOLD with any questions you may have at csold@stcloudstate.edu.  Your feedback is critical as we build this resource along with you!

Section 1:  Complete once password and username have been received

  • On a web browser, go to www.stcloudstate.edu/csold
  • Click on the link on the front page that says “Click here to visit the new listing of student organizations”. 
  • Then, on the top right hand corner there is a link that says, “Club Login”. Or, click here to open a window to the page.
  • At the login page, enter the login and password that has been provided to you in the space above on this page

First:  CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD
                - Left hand tool bar
                                Click on -Maintenance
                                Click on  -Change Password

Second: ADD YOUR ROSTER (REQUIRED!!)
                -Left hand tool bar
                                Click on – Membership
                                Click on – Member List
                Enter REQUIRED information:
                                Student ID
                                First Name
                                Last Name
                                Email
                All other information is OPTIONAL.

                *10 members is the minimum number of members an organization needs to have to be considered registered. *

-Make sure to save your information

Third: ADD OFFICERS
 -Left hand tool bar
                Click on – Membership      
                Click on – Officer List
                Click on - “EDIT” (for applicable positions)

(Please note that not all positions listed are required to be filled. You MUST include a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer)
                -Select member from the dropdown list        
                -Enter dates of position
                               Click on – SAVE
                You may have different internal names for positions- please make an attempt to use one of the titles provided.  If there isn’t one that fits in any way, please email csold@stcloudstate.edu and we will consider adding a title, as it may be used by many groups.

Fourth: ENTER ADVISOR INFORMATION (REQUIRED!!)
                -Left hand tool bar
                                Click on – Membership
                                Click on – Advisor Information
                                                Enter information
                                Click on – Save

Fifth: MODIFY WEB SPACE
                -Left hand tool bar
                                Click on – Modify website
                                                *Home
                                                *About
                                                *Request Info.
 All of the above website areas will be public. Please keep the posted materials appropriate.

Section 2:  Complete to register organization

FIFTH: REGISTER YOUR ORGANIZATION

-Left hand tool bar
                                Click on – Registration- Renew Club Application

SIXTH:  OTHER CLUB FEATURES
News and Events- Use this feature to make a calendar of public events, weekly meetings, and post noteworthy events about your organization in the news section.

Group Email- Use this function to email your entire group, e-board, or individual members.

Instructions for Completing the Registration Process Online- Updated Spring 2008
CSOLD Organizations:  Advisor Password & Instructions

CSOLD has added a new online system for student organizations that will replace the current student organizations descriptions that are currently online at www.stcloudstate.edu/csold. The process for reviewing and submitting an organizations web file is as follows:

1. Organization Advisor- You may pick up your advisor login and password information at the CSOLD Resource Desk, Atwood Center 139.  You may also have it emailed to you.

2. Log In using the directions below, and review & approve your organization’s registration.  .

  • At the login page, enter the login and password that has been provided to you in the space above on this page

Second: Review Modify Website Tab

                -Left hand tool bar

Click on- Modify Website

Browse through: Home, About, and Request Info.  There should be relevant information entered into these content boxes.


Third: Review Club Application
                -Left hand tool bar
                                Click on – Registration
                                Click on – Review Club Application

Review ALL information to ensure it is correct.  There must be a minimum of 10 members in the membership box.
                               

-If information is NOT correct, contact your organization and inform them of the information that needs to be corrected. 

                -If information is correct, Click on- Submit as reviewed
