Atwood Memorial Center Space Use Policies

VI. Food And Beverages

  1. In accordance with the contract signed between St. Cloud State University and ARAMARK, there will be no food and beverage in Atwood Memorial Center in reserveable meeting rooms and lounges or on the adjacent malls, unless purchased through or prepared by ARAMARK.

    Exceptions:
    1. Bernick's Pepsi Companies, as they are contractually mandated to a level of donations.
    2. Under special circumstances the Director of Atwood, Dining Services Director, and Catering Director of ARAMARK may grant an exception. The reason for ARAMARK giving first right of refusal may be due to ethnic/religious requirements.

Once an outside catering company is approved, the following items must be provided a week before the event:
    1. A copy of the catering company insurance policy with a minimum of $1,000,000 coverage. The Atwood director must receive a copy one week prior to the event.
    2. The agreement by the organization to pay Atwood Memorial Center a $250 user fee for the event. This payment will cover the cost of cleanup as well as use of ARAMARK serving equipment, if available.
Groups failing to comply with the Atwood food and beverage policy will receive a warning for a first offense. A second offense in the same school year will result in a minimum of a $25 fine based on the extent of the offense. An additional offense in the same school year will result in the loss of the organization's ability to reserve space in Atwood.
  2. Other policies
    1. The possession or use of intoxicants in Atwood Memorial Center is prohibited.
    2. Food is permitted in the Theatre. However, food is not to be served in the Theatre.
    3. Potlucks are not allowed. This does not include individuals within an office area of Atwood who would like to host a potluck.
