The 2009 MGCA Leadership Conference

Dear MGCA Conference Attendees:

GEAR UP and GET EXCITED! This is one of the premiere Greek life experiences you are about to experience.

Keynote speakers at this year's Leadership Conference include Steve Birdine,WalterKimbrough, David Stollman,& Dr. Mari Ann Callais. The Conference committee has been working overtime putting together what is certain to be the best MGCA Leadership Conference yet. Experience one of six pre-conference programs, 120 educational programs, four keynote, andthree featured speakers. They have added some fun on the Friday night of the conference as well.

Wednesday -- February 20th, 2008 Departure: Tentative Departure at 12:00AM Midnight

.bus 1 Trip Map (25 seats total for SCSU) (25 seats for MSU-M)

We will be co-sponsoring a charter bus with Minnesota State University - Mankato PHC/IFC. We will be traveling with their group on a shared charter bus. The Charter will pick up SCSU group at 10pm and depart through the evening to pick up MSU-Mankato group and on through the evening to Chicago.

Thursday -- February 21st, 2008 Arrival: Tentatively 10:00am

10am-12noon (Check in to Hotel Rooms & MGCA Registration Check-in)

1:00pm - 5:00 pm Pre-Conference Sessions

7:00 - 10pm: Opening session followed by Hot Topics Session I

10pm: Opening reception & Entertainment

Friday -- February 22nd, 2008

9:00am- 5:15pm: Opening session, Pathways, Affiliation Luncheon, Hot Topics Session II

5:30pm: Friday night excursions : Alll SCSU Dinner/Social Night: Depart for Downtown Chicago

* Bus Trip to Watertower Place/John Hancock Bldg. (Downtown) (ALL)

*Dinner together at TBA location downtown (*note: you are responsible for your dinner cost - YOU NEED to BRING CASH)

10:00pm: Return to Hotel

10:30pm NBGLA & MGCA Step Show

Saturday – February , 2008

9:15am - 5:15pm: Opening session, Hot topic Sessios 3,4, 5; Featured Speaker showcase,

7:30pm-9:45pm: Recognition & Banquet

9:30pm: St Judes Children's Research Hospital "Up Till Dawn Model Event & Dance".

Sunday -- February , 2008 :

9:15am-10:45am: Closing Session

2009 Pathways

What is a Pathway?

A Pathway is composed of three sessions – on one issue – that you will attend throughout the conference. They are intended to allow in-depth discussion by participants, and the sessions will build upon each other. Pathway sessions will to all day on Saturday this year.. Each participant should choose ONE pathway.
