What is a Leadership Team?: A Leadership team is made up of positional leaders of the SCSU fraternity & sorority Community. It is a consortium of bring together the similiar leadership positions of each Fraternity & Sorority. |

Purpose: To build strong networks of the leadership of our Fraternity & Sorority Community through an identified team for communication, education, initiaitive development, and leadership empowerment to improve our community and that of out individual Sororities & Fraternities. |

Structure |
Leadership Teams are created to support consortium activities that require continual involvement by all member institutions. Leadership Teams consist of one representative or specific Officer/Leadership Positions in each Fraternity/Sorority. (*example: The Finance committee is made up of the Fraternity/Sorority Treasurers and fundrasing officers and are co-chaired by the V.P.'s of Admin of the Governing councils.) The Steering Team is the Greek Programming Board President and the V.P.'s of Programming of the Governing Councils. and is expected to work closely with consortium of Leadership Teams and advise IFC/PHC Council on policy, setting agendas, framing issues, identifying opportunities, surveying and bringing recommendations to Council as they are worked on in committee like structures. Two individuals serves as co-chairs of the individual Leadership Teams . Leadership Team members are expected to remain in close contact with other Leadership Team members and may use formal questionnaires, anmeetings, and other means to pursue the Leadership Team/committee's charge. |

A written charge is developed by the co-chairs and advisement from the PHC/IFC and GPB as well as the Fraternity/Sorority Advisement team and continually develop with thier Leadership Team/committee charge. * More information to follow on developing committee Charges |

Term of Service |
Co-Chairs: Elected as a designated Officer of the SCSU PHC/IFC Council. Steering Team Members: Elected as a designated Officer of the SCSU Greek Programming Board/IFC/PHC. Leadership Team Members: determined by job description and officer responsibilites of each individual SCSU Fraternity/Sorority. |
Appointment process for special commmittees *ie: Greek Week, Homecoming..etc.. |
Chair: Recommendations for special Leadership Teams/committees come for an identified need by the PHC/IFC and GPB. A chair-elect is appointed by Council and/or the Greek Programing Board. Leadership Team Members: named by their specific title in their respective Fraternities/Sororities. |
Reporting |
A bi-weekly written report is submitted and the Co-Chairs may be asked to meet with Steering Committee and/or V.P.s of Programming of IFC/PHC. |
Roles and expectations |
Co-Chair: The Chair is responsible for guiding the Individual leadership team to accomplish their charge. Activities include communicating with Council and consortium of other committees, setting meeting agendas, encouraging participation by all members, enlisting the assistance of the Greek Community, producing reports, and ensuring that minutes are taken, approved, and posted on the committee Web site. Steering Team Members: The Steering Team is charged with actively pursuing the work of the Leadership Teams. Members of the Steering Team seek compromises and recommend policies that benefit all members of the consortium. In the fulfillment of this role, the Steering Team is expected to communicate with the full committee on a continuous and intentional basis. Leadership Team Members: Leadership Team members represent specific leadership positions within our Fraternity & Sorority community. Thus each representative is expected to gather input from all relevant entities and speak for the membership . A Fraternity/Sorority President may designate a proxy to participate in place of the designated officer position in their respective Fraternity/Sorority if a special situaiton arises in the annual formation of the Leadership Teams. (for example, participate in meetings, speak for the organization, vote, etc.). Other duties may be included in the Leadership Team charge. |
Process for recording, reviewing, adopting, and posting committee minutes |

Meetings |
Leadership Teams meet according to their Leadership Team charge needs. Team time has been set up to meet every other week in place of IFC/PHC meetings. Look at Fraternity & Sorority Calender. This meeting may take the form of a education/training, topical conference, Team Project work and planning meeting. The Steering Team sets an semester meeting calendar for the Committee and the GPB, with the number of meetings based on the expected workload, deadlines, direct and indirect costs of meeting, etc. Meetings are called by the co-Chairs. See the News & Announcements page of the Fraternity & Sorority Communty Website. Participation in Leadership Team meetings is welcome to Observers from member organizations adn are welcome to attend Leadership Team and Steering Team meetings but do not participate in the business of the group (deliberations, voting, etc.). Planning for meeting space, handouts, etc. will not include observers. Any individual wishing to address the Leadership Teams or Task Force should contact the co-Chairs and request an opportunity to provide input during a forum scheduled for that purpose. |
