This session will cover some of the basic principles of law as they apply to student organizations, as well as some things happening around the country involving student organizations and legal issues. If your organization has been registered with CSOLD for 52 weeks or more, AND one person from your organization attended a Budget Training in November, join us to learn what the budget request process includes this year so you are prepared to assist your organization in completing their request. Budget requests are due to Student Government by Monday, January 25, 2010. Presented by CSOLD Staff and Senate Finance Committee members.

Student Organization Assessment Data: Sharing What We've Learned and How We'll Move Forward

2008 was the first year that CSOLD, in partnership with the Institutional Effectiveness Office, developed and implemented an assessment plan of student organization members. This session will provide you with how we did the assessment, a "picture" of who our student organization members and leaders are, which of our first year students involved in student organizations came back to St. Cloud State University in the Fall 2009, National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) data about student organization involvement, how we will use this data, and future assessment plans. Presented by Institutional Effectiveness Staff and CSOLD staff.

We’ll review the different forms that are used to make payments and contracts, as well as some of the ways to get money.
