The Center for Student Organizations and Leadership Development
offers four scholarships for SCSU students
Non-Traditional Student Scholarship
This scholarship is to recognize St. Cloud State University non-traditional students who wish to enter SCSU for the first time, who have interrupted their studies and now wish to continue, or who are presently enrolled students.

Those seeking a degree, a career change, or upward mobility in their
present career are encouraged to apply. |

1) Demonstration of commitment to equal employment opportunity. 2)

Shelvie Christian Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is to recognize St. Cloud State University non-traditional students who are involved in on-campus co-curricular activities and who are making a contribution to the betterment of SCSU student life as Shelvie exemplified. Shelvie Christian was both a student and a student senator at SCSU.

Rich Murray Volunteer Service Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes a St. Cloud State University student who demonstrates a commitment to giving through volunteerism. This scholarship is made possible by a generous gift from Richard E. Murray. Mr. Murray, former Career Services director, created this scholarship because he values the contributions make by individuals working as volunteers.

Undergraduate or graduate students who have a demonstrated record of community service and who are making a contribution to the betterment of SCSU student life. |

1) Must be an enrolled student at SCSU; 2) must be involved in community service; 3) part-time, non-traditional students are eligible. |

Dennis M. Thayer Leadership Award
This award celebrates excellence in leadership among leaders. It is given in
recognition of the student receiving the highest score in the Excellence in
Leadership Award process. It is in memory of a man, who in his brief lifetime
demonstrated the highest level of regard for leadership by all and for all.

Undergraduates (must have earned 92 semester credits by the end of
fall semester 2003 with a minimum of 36 semester credits earned at SCSU)
and graduate students (must have earned 18 graduate semester credits
by end of fall semester 2003 with a minimum of 12 semester credits earned
at SCSU). Must have student status during the current academic year. |
