Husky Venture Program 2007-08 |
 |
|
Leadership is an ongoing process that involves knowledge, skill, and change. Good leaders are made, not born, and many leaders are needed in our communities today. If you have the desire and the willpower, you can learn to be an effective leader.
The Husky Venture Program is a series of interactive leadership workshops designed around the 7 C’s of the Social Change Model. The program is structured so that students can begin to explore leadership or expand their current knowledge. |

The Social Change Model |
The Social Change Model is a leadership theory based on the idea that leadership is a process, not necessarily a position, centered around the idea of making the world a better place. The model emphasizes the need to understand yourself and others to make the change process work.
There are three perspectives in the Social Change Model: the individual, the group, and the community. These perspectives are broken down into seven values known as the 7 C’s. |
