Arvid Hansen Scholarship

Size: $500

Open to: Criminal Justice 2013, 2015, 2017, etc. and Sociology majors

Criteria:

  • In your junior or senior year
  • Grade Point Average of 3.0 or above
  • In financial need

Caldecott Scholarship

Size: $1,000

Open to: Criminal Justice majors with expressed interest in attending law school.

Criteria:

  • Grade Point Average of at least 3.25
  • Financial need
  • Leadership potential

Kimberly Ann Ritsche Scholarship

Size: $1,000

Open to: Female undergraduates, admitted to the Criminal Justice major

Criteria:

  • Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.25
  • Positive influence on and respect for others
  • Devotion to physical fitness

Criminal Justice Scholarship (funds donated by Federated Insurance)

Size: $1,000

Open to: Criminal Justice major with Junior or Senior status

Criteria:

  • Academic Achievement (minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum 3.25 in major)
  • Evidence of community service
  • Involvement/interest in the risk management & insurance field with a minimum of 2 criminal justice or insurance classes completed.
  • The scholarship will not be awarded to students in their last semester of classes; at least one semester of undergraduate work must be left to complete his/her bachelor program.

Application Deadline: October 15

Decision Date: December 1

Joseph E. Plant "Living the Dream" Memoral Scholarship

Size: $1,000

Open to: Criminal Justice Majors with an expressed interest in the field of law enforcement.

Criteria:

  • Applicants may apply during their sophomore or junior year and must be a junior or senior at the time the scholarship funds are used. However, there must be at least one semester of undergraduate study remaining following disbursement of funds; funds cannot be distributed to a student in their final semester.
  • Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0
  • Must be a member of the Criminal Justice Association.
  • The scholarship will not be awarded to students in their last semester of classes; at least one semester of undergraduate work must be left to complete his/her bachelor program.
  • Applicants must complete a 500 word essay describing their goals for a career in the Criminal Justice field.

Olga B. Satre Hart Giving Back Memorial Scholarship

Size: $1,000
Open to: Criminal Justice, Nursing, Gerontology and Social Work
Criteria:

  1. Must be a sophomore, junior or senior
  2. Has been accepted into one of the 4 programs
  3. Overall GPA of at least 2.75
