College of Science and Engineering Dean's Scholarship applications being accepted

The College of Science and Engineering is taking applications for scholarships within the college and the school. The Dean's Scholarship is supported by generous gifts from graduates and friends. Eligibility for the scholarship is determined by a consensus of the Dean and Department Chairs from the College.
One $2500 scholarship will be
awarded to a student in the College natural and mathematical sciences
programs (Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Math and Statistics) and one
$2500 scholarship will be awarded to a student in the School of
Computing, Engineering and Environment programs (Computer Science and
Information Technology, Atmospheric and Hydrologic Sciences, Electrical
and Computer Engineering, Environmental and Technological Studies,
Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering).
ELIGIBILITY
To
be eligible for the scholarships, a student must be enrolled full-time
at St. Cloud State University and meet the following criteria:
1) Be a declared major in one of the programs in the College of Science and Engineering or the School of Computing, Engineering and Environment
2) Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 in major courses
3) Must be active in extracurricular, volunteer and/or leadership roles within the College or University.
4) Must
submit a one-page paper outlining how extracurricular, volunteer and/or
leadership experiences will help you in attaining your career goals.
The one-page paper is due in the Dean’s Office (Wick Science # 145) Friday, March 22, 2013.
