Peyman Fatemi, Ph.D.
Peyman Fatemi serves as the Sr. Consultant in the food safety group at Life Technologies. In this role, Dr. Fatemi leads application of molecular food testing technologies in both internal and external environments. He also serves as the regulatory liaison and the lead for collaborative research and development between Life Technologies and government agencies. As an active member of the food safety community, he has served as the chair of the IFT Food Microbiology Scientific Subpanel and will be the chair of the IFT food microbiology graduate paper competition, for the upcoming year. He serves on several professional committees of the International Association for Food Protection among others. Dr. Fatemi brings more than 10 years of experience in developing food safety and microbiology programs, food processing design and regulatory compliance in multiple food categories. Peyman earned his B.S. and M.S. in microbiology and food science from The University of Georgia and his Ph.D. in food science from The Penn State University.
