Mr. Edson is President of American Proficiency Institute in Traverse City, Michigan which he co-founded in 1991. He received his M.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science from Michigan State University where he now serves as adjunct professor. He was named a recipient of the Michigan State University Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004, was honored as the MSU College of Natural Science Outstanding Alumnus in 2002, and received a 2003 Public Health award from the Michigan Department of Community Health. Mr. Edson has more than 30 publications to his credit.
In his community, Mr. Edson is board president for a free medical clinic which provides services to the uninsured, and is on the Board of Trustees at Munson Medical Center.
