Chemical Hygiene
The College of Science and Engineering maintains and updates a chemical hygiene plan that meets or exceeds the chemical hygiene standards of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) http://www.osha.gov/.
Under the direction of the associate dean, a chemical safety student worker carries out the weekly duties necessary to be sure safety features, such as eye washes, are always in working order.
The Chemical Hygiene Plan is administered by the Chemical Hygiene Committee, directed the university’s safety administrator:
