Welcome to the Driver Education Teacher Preparation licensure program offered through SCSU's Center for Continuing Studies. 

The driver education teacher preparation program at SCSU has been recognized as a national leader for on-line teacher preparation.  Since 2002 St. Cloud State University has had more than 439 graduates complete the licensure program and successfully go on to teach driver education.  Graduates have come from all parts of the United States including:

On-line learners have had the best results earning university grades when they are able to manage time.  On-line learning allows us to work as much or as little as our schedule permits.  By managing your time well will increase your chance to earn your driver education licensure on time.

Driver Education teacher demographics indicate a large number of teachers will be retiring in the near future and more driver education teachers are needed to fill this gap!

Traffic Safety Education Graduate Certificate

St. Cloud State University, School of Graduate Studies offers a Graduate Certificate for the completion of all driver education licensure courses taken at the 500 graduate level.  The Traffic Safety Education Graduate Certificate program provides graduate level specialized study in the area of driver education.  If your school district recognizes lane change advancement, this program may be beneficial for you as a professional educator. 

Upon completion of the program you will receive an official St. Cloud State University, School of Graduate Studies Graduate Certificate.  For more information, admission and application to the School of Graduate Studies
