Pathways for Incarcerated Students
Program Support
The Center for Continuing Studies works cooperatively with the student, the correctional institution and their designated education officer to provide a quality educational experience.
The Center’s Services include:
- Assisting with admissions, registration, billing, and graduation paperwork.
- Working with third-parties who are providing financial assistance.
- Providing written course materials including the syllabus and other related items.
- Advising and program planning.
- Facilitating communication with faculty as needed.
Students are responsible for:
- Tuition and fees.
- Purchasing textbooks and supplies.
- Developing a study schedule and staying on track with coursework.
- Maintaining appropriate and timely communication with instructors and CCS office staff regarding coursework.
Most incarcerated students take courses on a part-time basis (1 to3 courses per semester) and complete their degrees at their own pace.
