What is Qi~ssage
Qi~ssage combines the energy principles of qigong with the art of massage. Qi~ssage involves touching and physical stimulation of the body like massage and also the basic principles of qigong. It focuses on balancing and enhancing the flow of energy through the body’s energy channels, or meridians, not just with physical stimulation but also in part through the power of your mind, or your visualization, and most importantly, the unconditional love from your heart.
How Qi~ssage works
There are twelve major energy channels in your body and hundreds of energy points all over your body. Each of these points affects the balance and flow of your body’s energy. In a Qi~ssage workshop, you will not only learn how to locate, stimulate and understand the benefit of each key energy point but will also learn how you can move from point to point in a specific order that will provide an even greater benefit to the whole body and help these channels to flow.
What you will learn in a workshop
The workshop is hands-on, combining demonstration with practice time for optimal learning.
Qi~ssage will help:
The following two classes:
Acupressure for the Head, Shoulders, and Spine
Acupressure for the Arms, Fingers, Hips, Knees, Lower Leg and the Feet
comprise one Spring Forest Qigong Qi-ssage, which starts the energy flowing at the head, takes it through the body and ends at the feet. It is easy to learn and complements other healing modalities. Qi-ssage uses specific acupressure points that allow the bodies energy to flow for health and wellbeing. It is fun, powerful and feels great. Time will also be spent on experiencing qi (energy) in your own unique way. You may take both classes or just the one that applies to your needs. The class is hands-on, combining demonstration with practice time for optimal learning.
Sheryl Scheller and Mary Zelmer, have been instructors at Spring Forest Qigong.
