Medical transcription is the process of transcribing the dictated audio reports of doctor-patient interactions. These transcribed reports become part of the patient’s permanent medical record and are vital to ensuring proper and consistent patient care. Medical transcriptionists play an important part in the healthcare system, and those who enter this field can expect a promising career outlook.
This online program helps students develop the knowledge and skills of quality medical transcriptionists, specifically focusing on keyboarding, language and grammar, and medical terminology. The program also emphasizes practical experience, and by graduation, students will have transcribed hundreds of authentic dictations, preparing for a quick and successful transition to the workplace. In addition, the program’s online format provides students the flexibility to study around their schedules and at their own pace.
Students who focus full-time energy to this program can finish the training in 4-6 months. Part-time students have up to 1 year to finish the program.
