Employee Coaching

Employee coaching has been called “The New Leadership Competency” by many in the leadership field. In coaching an employee, the supervisor “draws out” or helps the employee to develop new work and problem solving skills. In this session, participants will be introduced to the essential skills of coaching. The seminar will include the following:

 

  • The nature of and purpose for coaching in the workplace.
  • Strategies to use in understanding and diagnosing an employee’s strengths and limitations
  • Techniques to use coaching skills in order to draw out thoughts and ideas from individuals to aide in understanding the problem or situation.
  • Coaching skills to build group interdependence
