Bachelor of Elective Studies/Associate in Arts Degree
Course Options
There are many options for AA, AES or BES students to enroll in courses.
On Campus Classes
All daytime courses offered on campus are available to AA, AES, or Bachelor of Elective Studies students.
Evening Courses
Evening courses are those classes meeting at 5:00 p.m. or later and are open to full or part-time students. The Bachelor of Elective Studies degree can be earned with evening only courses. Some majors and minors are available to evening-only students, but not all. Check the current Evening and Weekend Program Schedule for details.
Self-Paced and Online Courses
Self-paced (correspondence) and online courses are offered to give non-traditional or distance learners an opportunity to continue their education through self-study at home. When you take a self-paced or online course, you set your own study schedule, work at your own pace and choose the date when you feel prepared to take your exams. Details about these courses can be found under Distance Learning.
Interactive TV and Off Campus Courses
Students who cannot come to campus, or cannot take classes during the day, can enroll in a number of courses offered at other locations. These distance courses may be taught by an onsite instructor or by interactive television. Details about these courses can be found under Distance Learning.
Other Options
Students can transfer credits from other institutions to St. Cloud State University. Check with the SCSU Records Office about transfer procedures and residency requirements.
