Dr. Kathy Johnson
Dr. Kathy Johnson has been working on partnership and projects in China since 2000. She travels often to China to work on institutional partnerships with SCSU and for work in the area of disabilities in China.
Jingyi Yang (Jenny)
Jingyi Yang, B.A., is a Master Degree student in the School of Education, majoring in Teaching Chinese as A Second Language at St. Cloud State University. Jingyi is also a Master Degree student in the College of Chinese Language and Culture, major in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages at Beijing Normal University. Jingyi Yang is interested in American education and Chinese immersion programs in America. She is working in the Confucius Institute dedicating herself to teach Chinese language and spread Chinese culture.
Yi Sun (Sunny)
Yi Sun, is a graduate student of Beijing Normal University (BNU), major in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. She is interested in American Education and takes part in a program between BNU and SCSU to be the graduate student of St. Cloud State University, major in Teaching Chinese as Second Language. She takes position of GA in SCSU Confucius Institution to assist in the development and opening of the CI.
Danqing Li (Maggie)
Danqing Li, a visiting scholar comes from Beijing Normal University who is pursuing a Doctor Degree of Teaching Chinese as a second language. She is interested in lexicography, Second Language Acquisition and American Education. She comes St. Cloud State University to do research on Chinese Immersion education in Minnesota.
Jiandong Liu (Mike)
Mr. Jiandong Liu is from the Jilin Department of Education Office of International Affairs, Hanban Office. He has assisted numerous China Bridge Delegations in China and is an experienced teacher of English at Changchun Normal University. Mr. Liu is assisting with the development of the Confucius Institute, taking courses and learning about life in MN during his year as a Visiting Scholar.

Dr. Hongxiang Di is a Professor from Changchun Normal Universityâ€™s Department of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. She is highly respected as an expert in the field. She is serving as an Adjunct Professor, focusing on a research study on the current strengths, needs and priorities of the Chinese Immersion Programs in the state of MN.
