Community Garden What's Growing
The St. Cloud State University Community Garden and the Central Minnesota Community Garden Network is sponsoring its first seed and plant exchange from 2-7 p.m. May 22 and 23.
Participants will receive plants and seedlings in exchange for their surplus plants or seeds, or a food or cash donation to the local food shelf.
The exchange will take place in the Community Garden parking lot between Fifth Avenue South and Sixth Street South next to the St. Cloud State Women’s Center.
The event is open to the public and also is an opportunity to meet new friends and local gardeners.
The SCSU Community Garden is a group of Saint Cloud State staff, students, faculty and Saint Cloud community members creating a unified network to envision, plan, plant, tend and harvest food and flowers together. Its vision is to use the garden to foster and build bridges between the university and larger community and to create a space where people can participate in planting, growing and harvesting their own food.
