Mentoring/InductionA Professional Learning Community focusing on mentorship and induction was established during the 2004-2005 year through the Teacher Quality Enhancement Grant Partnership. The PLC included teachers and administrators from the initial five Central Minnesota partnering school districts (Becker, Monticello, Rocori, Sartell, and St. Cloud) and St. Cloud State University faculty. During the first year, the PLC studied exemplary mentorship and induction programs and related literature and research. In 2005-2006, the PLC implemented a mentor training program, a Mentor/Mentee Handbook, and four New Teacher/Mentor Workshops. Currently, a Mentorship Leadership Team oversees the TQE multi-district mentorship program.
