Dean's Message
Welcome to the College of Education! We have a strong and rich history of academic excellence in a variety of programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. With over 60 degree, licensure, or certificate programs available, we are committed to preparing students for successful and rewarding careers in teaching, educational leadership and counseling services.
The College of Education's state and nationally accredited programs have a strong reputation for high quality and best practice. We are proud of the fact that at St. Cloud State University, 98 percent of classes are taught by professors with a 17:1 student - faculty ratio. The College of Education has over 100 highly qualified professors who are deeply committed to high standards and excellence in teaching and learning.
Students in the College of Education embark upon experiences that reach far beyond the classroom with a wealth of opportunities to engage in authentic learning in schools and community agencies. The path to success often includes global, urban, and rural clinical or field experiences that provide valuable real life work experience. Getting involved at SCSU is easy as we have over 220 student organizations with many to choose from in the College of Education. Finally, the College of Education provides more than 100 students with scholarships to support their efforts to pursue their educational dreams.
