Keynote Friday: Dr. D. Soyini Madison, Northwestern University.  Dr. Madison is an internationally recognized scholar in critical ethnography and performance studies.  She will be presenting portions of her 3 year ongoing work in Ghana with social activists concerning water rights.

Keynote Performance: Dr. Joni L. Jones/Omi Osun Olomo, University of Texas, Austin.  Dr. Olomo is the Associate Director of African and African American Studies at UT Austin.  Having studied Yoruban culture for many years in Africa, Dr. Olomo will be performing portions of her work in Yoruba theatrical and ritual performance.

Keynote Saturday: Dr. Eddah Mutua-Kombo, SCSU.  An Assistant Professor in Intercultural Communication, Dr. Mutua-Kombo will present research focusing upon her work with African immigrants in St. Cloud, MN.

Roundtable discussion: Somali elders, leaders, and community members will speak and take questions about immigrant experiences in St. Cloud, MN.

Scheduled Presentations and Performances:

Dr. Elyse Pineau, Southern Illinois University.  Dr. Pineau will be conducting a workshop designed for faculty which addresses critical pedagogy and using performance in the classroom.  Separate from the workshop, she will also be performing autobiographical works focusing upon Canadian immigrant issues and class privilege.

Dr. Kristin Langellier, University of Maine.  Dr. Langellier, along with Somali students from Maine, will be presenting and performing autobiographical works of immigrant experience.

Edwin Corbin, PhD student at Northwestern University will be performing original works of Mexican immigrant experience.

University of Northern Iowa undergraduate students will be performing works of immigrant experience in Iowa.

St. Cloud State University Players Performance Group will be performing an original production centering upon the recent hate motivated acts occurring on the SCSU campus.
