Upon completion of the PRCA you will be given 5 scores (Group, Meeting, Dyadic, Public & Overall).

Step 2: Enter your scores
Enter scores under your instructor's name.

Need Help: Contact the Academic Learning Center.  The Department has trained tutors to assist with various speeches, including group presentations, along with other Communication Studies assignments.  They are located in Centennial Hall.

How do I Declare a Communication Studies Major? Go to the Department of Communication Studies in Riverview 117 to get a major or minor advisor.

Department of Communication Studies Listserve:  CMSTSTUDENTS
Students officially declaring the Communication Studies major or minor will automatically be registered on the Communication Studies Department student e-mail list.  Messages may be sent about internships, job announcements, meetings, advising and other events important to Communication Studies majors and minors.  This will give all students equal access to departmental news.

 

 

Forms for Course Transfer

Application for Exemption - This form should be used by students desiring a class taken at another institution to transfer specifically as equivalent to CMST 192. 

Request for Transfer Equivalency - This form should be used by students transferring from another institution who desire communication studies (speech) courses taken there to transfer as equivalent courses offered in the CMST curriculum at SCSU. (Not to be used for CMST 192). 

Program Revision

Fall 2009 the Department revised their programs and courses.  An Equivalency Chart shows the revised course numbers and the previous course names and numbers.  Course Descriptions for these revised courses are located in the Undergraduate Bulletin.
