Primary and/or current research interests
Professor Vorell is interested in issues related to organizational communication.  In particular, he seeks to understand issues related to stress and coping in the workplace, training and development, and the changing work arrangement of the gig economy.  

International Connections
Professor Vorell has traveled extensively abroad.  Specifically, he has done research and studied in Mexico at the University of the Americas.  Likewise, he has studied international business in Japan and South Korea.  He has traveled throughout Europe, visiting Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Lichtenstein, Italy and Greece.  He has also had over 10 years of formal education in Spanish.

Publication: Professor Vorell is writing a textbook titled: "Toxic Organizational Communication: Surviving Work", which will be in press May, 2014.
