Distinctions

Success for College of Liberal Arts and School of the Arts students, faculty and alumni is demonstrated on and off campus.

They lead change and innovation. They work with a global view on local, state, national and world issues. They contribute their creativity and insight to initiatives and projects in their communities.

  • Bruce Pearson, '64, music, is author of 17 music instructional titles and one of the most widely used music instruction series, which is available in English, Chinese, Spanish and Italian.
  • English professor Bill Meissner has published seven books, including the University of Notre Dame Press title "Spirits in the Grass."
  • Music professors Catherine Verrilli, soprano; Melissa Krause, flutist; and Terry Vermillion, percussionist, perform as Trio Lorca. Their work includes a performance at Carnegie Hall.
