Application and Admission Process
Admission to Graduate Studies
You will need the following:
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Forms and Dates from Graduate Studies (AS 121)
- Application for Admission to Advanced Studies from Graduate Studies (AS 121)
- Three references
- Fees for application and GRE exam.
Acceptance into the Graduate School permits you to attend graduate courses as SCSU, but does not automatically admit a student into an Information Media graduate program.
Process
- Schedule Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
- Take GRE exam.
- Turn in completed Application for Admission to Advanced Studies to Graduate Studies (AS 121) with application fee ($35.00).
- Contact personal references and have them mail recommendation letters.
Items to Note
- Individuals working on media licensure only are not required to apply for graduate studies.
- If you are considering the master's degree, it is highly recommended to apply as early as possible.
- The GRE can be taken on computer. When taking the computer version, the test will be scored as you complete it.
- You will be assigned an adviser when the process has been completed to this point.
- Cost of GRE can change each year.
- Information Media only requires the general GRE test (Verbal, Math and Analytical Writing).
