Advanced Program in Science & Technology

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

This summer, as part of the Advanced Program in Science & Technology, four students participated in a Computer Forensics research program which involved classroom learning, case reviews and hands-on investigation using the SCSU Computer Forensics Workstation.  The students participated in classroom activities and did research outside of class culminating in the delivery of a research paper and poster demonstrating what they had learned.  The students found the topic of computer forensics very interesting and walked away with useful tips for protecting themselves and their data when using electronic devices. More information about the program which is "designed to expose students from underrepresented groups to science, math, and computers in fun and innovative ways" is available at: http://www.stcloudstate.edu/pipeline/.
