MBA 605 Tours Target Crime Lab

Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Target recently opened its doors to a group of faculty and MBA students from St. Cloud State University for a behind the scenes look into their forensic lab.  MBA students of Drs. Mark Schmidt and Kate Mooney were awarded the very rare opportunity to see firsthand what goes on in Target's forensic lab and direct questions to the experts leading the tour.  The CIAS would like to thank Target for this learning opportunity.  The students will take this experience and apply their knowledge and techniques acquired from the tour to the classroom as they perform various investigative applications using some of the most high tech forensic equipment on the market.  The CIAS was able to purchase forensic equipment with the help of a grant from the Department of Defense and has been educating students as well as training area law enforcement as a result.
