Students Present Security Papers at International Business and Contemporary Issues in Business Conference

Thursday, November 13, 2014

On October 9 – 12, 2014 SCSU students Liza Strate and James Niehaus and faculty member Mark Schmidt were in Rapid City, SD for the conference. Liza presented her project “Secured Chiropractic Database” and James presented his project “Configuring a MySQL Database for Efficiency and Security within a Cloud Environment.”

This opportunity was made available due to a Provost Action Grant awarded CIAS faculty members Kate Mooney, Dennis Guster, and Mark Schmidt.

Attendees were able to network, collaborate, and share ideas with other professionals about their research. We thank our friends at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD for organizing the conference and their hospitality.
