Stop, Think, Connect

On March 29th, 2011 the Center for Information Assurance Studies at St. Cloud State University hosted a "Stop. Think. Connect." presentation given by Timothy Fraser the director of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Mr. Fraser’s presentation was focused on how to stay safe on the internet and based on the "Stop. Think. Connect." Program.  The program asks you do just what it’s titled.  Stop, before clicking on to the world wide web take the time to think about and understand what you are doing before you connect. Given our dependence on connectivity, Mr. Fraser’s comments hit home with many audience members. One student commented "I live my life on Facebook & will now consider the security aspect of doing so."
