Welcome to the Department of Chemistry & Physics

St. Cloud State is implementing a major academic reorganization that reshapes how students are prepared for life, work and citizenship in the 21st century. The Department of Chemistry and Physics is home to faculty experts in biochemistry, chemistry, astronomy, and physics, as well as a group of dedicated support staff and students in all areas of chemistry and physics.

The department has excellent instrumental and laboratory facilities and provides a stimulating environment for teaching and learning as well as research. The department offers a variety of discipline-specific programs (majors and minors) via advanced course work, research opportunities, internships and outreach activities.
