Magic Show 2010
On Saturday, October 23rd, the Chemistry Club hosted a Magic Show at the St. Cloud Library in celebration of National Chemistry Week.
The activity room was full with 30 children and their parents in attendance. Thirteen members of the Chemistry Club, along with Dr. Petitto, Chem Club Advisor and faculty member of the Chemistry and Physics Department performed several magical experiments.
The children were given the opportunity to get hands-on experience by doing such things as making slime, quicksand statues, magic sand, candy chemistry, acid rain, and making butterflies using chromatographic techniques.
Judging by the smiles on the children’s faces and the loud applause, the event was a huge success!
