Description:
The Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) advocates for
young children. It is a student chapter of the National Association for
the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) whose mission is to educate and
support adults who educate and care for young children, so all may develop
to their fullest potential.
Meetings:
Meetings are usually held twice monthly. Time and place to be announced.
Watch for postings on the AEYC bulletin board located in the North hallway
of the Education Building.

contact the advisor, student president, or student council member above.
You can also visit them at their office located in the Education Building
in room B109.
Special Projects:
AEYC participates in volunteer work with SCSU's Lindgren Child Care Center,
the Salvation Army and Anna Marie's Women's Shelter. The organization
also oranizes monthly Scholastic Book Club orders. To assist in fund raising,
the organization sponsors an annual sweatshirt and tote sale throughout
the year.
Other:
Anyone interested in the education of young children are welcome! You
can join anytime, and the membership cost is $7.00 per semester of $10.00 for the year. Members
are encouraged to join one of the following committees: volunteer, shirt
sales, social or book orders.
