Mission

The Department of Counseling and Community Psychology endeavors to apply psychological principles to the solution of problems of society as well as for the support of human development in a culturally diverse society. This is accomplished within the faculty functions of teaching, creative activity, scholarly research, service, and professional development and are carried out through curricular offerings at the undergraduate level and graduate level within programs in counseling and through faculty research and consultative activities conducted in collaboration with state, regional, national, public and private agencies.
