Program Areas

I teach a number of core counseling courses for students in the school counseling, rehabilitation counseling, and college counseling and student development programs. I specialize in teaching and coordinating in the school counseling program.

I am in my 9th year at St. Cloud State University and I teach in the Community Psychology, Counseling and Family Therapy Department. I am an associate professor and I specialize in school counselor training. I am also the school counseling program coordinator and am passionate about the profession. Prior to SCSU, I worked as a school counseling in Minnesota and Nevada. I am active in local, state, and national school counseling efforts and serve as the ethics chair for the Central Minnesota School Counseling Association. I love teaching and supervising aspiring counseling professionals and look forward to continuing the great programming we have at SCSU.
