Prep for Jobs/Internships

Starting the Internship Process at SCSU

The first step is to see the internship advisor in the department of your major and ask them about their internship process.  Each department has criteria you need to be aware of to take an internship for credit.  In addition to assisting you in obtaining academic credit for your internship, department Internship Coordinators can also be an invaluable resource to you by providing advice, listings of current internships and other helpful hints during your internship process.  Many departments also post the internships they receive from organizations on their departmental bulletin boards.

Register with the SCSU Career Services Center for internship search at www.scsucareers.com and upload your resume into the online internship books. There are also many internship opportunities listed through the registration site. Employers who schedule on-campus interviews will advertise their positions through this site and registered candidates will have the opportunity to sign-up for interviews through www.scsucareers.com .

Check out InternPost and other internship posting sites in the "Internships Listings" section of this web site. Many employers seeking SCSU students use InternPost to advertise internship positions.
