Responsible for the identification, implementation, and evaluation of priorities and goals surrounding career development and outreach. Partners with faculty and staff university-wide to build relationships and encourage alliances with the goal of assisting them to increase their knowledge of career development theory and strategies enabling partners to integrate these theories and strategies into their work to enhance student career success. Recruits, trains, and supervises graduate and undergraduate career advisors.
Hailey Olson

Advises students with career and major exploration and career readiness. Partners with faculty and student service departments to enhance career development opportunities across campus. Recruits, trains, and mentors undergraduate peer career advisors.
Karen Hommerding
- Technology and Information Specialist
- A.A., St. Cloud State University
Overall management of the career services online recruiting system (Handshake). Provides leadership for all data and information for the Career Center, including Post-Graduation Outcomes for all SCSU alumni. Coordinate updating of the Career Center website. Assists with general technology needs for the office.
Candice Cheesman
- Office Manager
- Responsible for ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where students, alumni, employers, and the campus community receive exceptional service with efficiency and professionalism. Facilitates training, supervision and mentorship of student staff. Manages budget and resources. Facilitates the overall function of day to day and long-term office operations by supporting the Career Center team in all efforts to meet and exceed mission and goals.
