Volleyball Camp

SCSU Girls VolleybalL Team Camp

July 21 - 22, 2008

General information:

This camp features individualized team training sessions with the SCSU volleyball coaching staff and players. The Camp will conclude with a team tournament that will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon and will end at 4:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend the tournament with an award ceremony to follow. This is a unique opportunity to train and play against other teams in a competitive environment prior to the start of your 2008 fall season. Teams are encouraged to bring their coaches to camp. There will be a varsity division and a junior varsity division.

Who is Eligible?

You are eligible to attend the St. Cloud State Volleyball Team Camp if you were in grade 7-12 during the 2007-2008 school year.

Facilities

St. Cloud State University's facilities provide an outstanding opportunity for prospective volleyball players to improve their skills under our experienced coaching staff. All camp sessions will be held in Halenbeck Hall on the SCSU campus. Nine volleyball courts are available for use in the Halenbeck Hall complex.

Resident campers will be housed in resident halls on the St. Cloud State University campus. Meals will be served at Garvey Commons.

Coaching Staff:

The Team Camp will be directed by SCSU volleyball Coaches Patricia Mickow and Aaron Nelson.

Patricia Mickow-St. Cloud State head coach. Coach Mickow brings 20 years of experience and 299 wins as a collegiate head coach. This fall will be her 6th season at SCSU. During her second season, Mickow guided the Huskies the NCAA Division II tournament for the first time since 1995. That season the Huskies placed third in the always rugged North Central Conference and also gained a solid 19-11 overall record under Mickow’s direction.

An athletic trainer will be also available both days.

Registration Information:

Please register as a team. Individuals registering without a team will not be accepted. There will be no refunds given after the registration deadline. If a team needs to withdraw from competition please call the camps office as soon as possible so schedules can be adjusted. Upon completion of this form a waiver form will be sent out to the team contact that all player’s parents or guardians must sign or the player will not be eligible to participate in the team camp.

Resident Plan: $300
Teams will check-in at Hill-Case Hall between 7:30am and 9:00am. Teams will recive Monday lunch and Dinner and Tuesday breakfast and lunch. This fee covers the cost of the entire team regardless of the number of players. However, a maximum of 10 individual awards will be given to the first place team. Teams will play pool play on Monday and then be placed into a tournament bracket on Tuesday.

Nonresident Plan: $240
Teams will check-in at Halenbeck Hall between 8:30am and 9:15am on Monday. Teams will recive a Monday lunch and dinner and Tuesday lunch. This fee covers the cost of the entire team regardless of the number of players. However, a maximum of 10 individual awards will be given to the first place team. Teams will play pool play on Monday and then be placed into a tournament bracket on Tuesday.
