Outdoor Endeavors Events
2008 Husky Adventures youth Camps
Outdoor Endeavors has spent the winter planning for the summer. As part of our summer programming, we are again offering exceptional opportunities for local youth to participate in our Husky Adventure Camps. These programs range from daycamps to parent & child camps to adventure skill camps. Each camp is structured for children to have a great learning experience in the outdoors. These camps fill quickly so do not hesitate in getting your child registered. The flier and registration form can be found below.
Adventure Daycamp (Ages 9-12) - Participants will have the opportunity to try diverse outdoor education activities throughout the week without the commitment of an overnight trip. Activities include outdoor living skills, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and rock climbing in a environment focused on success. Cost includes lunch and snacks every day. Drop off at 8:30 am and pick up by 5:00pm. Space is limited to 12 participants.

Session II - Monday 7/21/08 to Friday 7/25/08
Session III - Monday 7/28/08 to Friday 8/1/08

Parent & Child Adventure Camp (Ages 8-10) - Parents and children will get the chance to go to camp together! This unique opportunity involves a 2 night camping trip and activities that the Outdoor Endeavors staff will provide. All camping equipment, transportation, food, activities and instruction are included. Age appropriate siblings are welcome at an additional cost. Space is limited to 12 participants.
Monday 7/14/08 to Wednesday 7/16/08
Cost is $149 for one parent & one child
Additional siblings can attend for $75 per child
*This camp includes overnight camping. The group leaves SCSU on Monday and returns Wednesday by 5pm

Instructional Climbing Camp (Ages 12-15) - Based off the success of our youth climbing club, we are offering a 2 night camping trip and climbing opportunity to participants. Belaying skills, safe climbing practices and rock climbing techniques are all incorporated into this 3 day, 2 night trip. Cost includes transportation, camping & climbing gear, food and camping fees. Space is limited to 8 participants.

Whitewater Kayak Camp (Ages 12-15) - Last year’s camp was a huge success so we brought it back for another year. Participants will spend two days locally working on a progression of kayaking skills. On Wednesday we will leave for a 2 night camping trip based on a regional river where the skills will continue to progress. This camp is run by American Canoe Association Kayak instructors and is heavily focused on safe boating practices, techniques and judgment on the river. Cost includes transportation, camping & boating gear, food & camping fees. Space is limited to 8 participants.
